Help scratches in the black trim on the doors my TL-S

I noticed that there are a great deal of scratches on the black trim on the doors of my TL-S. I cannot seem to get rid of them. I think they got there from cleaning the glass. It seems like the paint scratches up very easily there. I have tried Zaino Z-5 and it still looks bad. The scratches are not deep. Please tell me what I should do to fix the problem. The rest of my paint looks great except for this one little area. I will try to take a picture tomorrow.

Thanks,
Mike

Are you talking about the area between the front & back doors ( B pillar ) ?

or the carbon fiber trim? If its the carbon fiber, you can use some light polishes on it by hand and clean them up a little. If it's the vinyl on the door panels, use some 303, it should help minimize their appearance

I am refering to the glossy black trim on the outside of the car.

Here are some pictures of the scratches in the trim.

This is the only place on the car that looks like this, the rest of the paint in immaculate.

use some optimum polish on an orange pad, follow up with some wax. It will remove the swirls from the trim; that's what I did when detailing my TL.

Bingo, if using a PC, opt for the 4" pads, and tape up the trim and weather stripping.
Otherwise use a more aggressive (white) hand polishing pad with a polish.

I follow up the 4" orange with a white pad and M205.

Okay so I should be able to get the scratches out with the white hand polishing pad and some Zaino Z-5?

Z5 isn't a polish... has zero abrasives in it.

Okay, what polish would you recommend for the scratches that I have? Should I try Danase Swirl Abolisher I or II? Should I remove the wax that I currently have on that area? After using the Danase product can I put Zaino Z-2 or Z-5 on?

Thanks

Cant speak for any Zaino stuff, but the SA1 should work.

What is SA1?

I don't want to do cause any more damage to the paint. So here is what I was thinking of doing. Using a white hand polishing pad with Danase Swirl Abolisher I or II (please tell me which one I should get) and finishing up with Zaino Z-2 or Z-5.

I have never really had to do any paint correction so I am new to this. All I have ever really used is Zaino products and that has kept my cars looking great.

Never mind about that what is SA1, I had a slow moment and just realized what it is.

ZPC should help but I normally use Megs 205 on the pillars.

What products do you have to use?

I have Zaino Z-2 and Z-5 but I do not have ZPC. I might try ZPC first and if that does not work move on to the Danase Swirl Abolisher I with a white pad.

I wouldn't buy ZPC... get some Meguiars 205. ZPC isn't that great of a product IMO.

You can use Z2 or Z5 after polishing.
