Question Flagship Carwash?

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any experience with Flagship Carwash? I'm driving a 2008 black TSX, and I want to have it washed, but won't have time to do it myself any time soon. I'm wondering if this looks like a safe place to take the car, as I don't want to get slammed with swirl marks and scratches. Opinions? Thanks!

Where in MD are you? I went to it once when I lived out that way, had no problems. They did a pretty good job. Expect a little bit of scratching, but they do a good job compared to others.

the only car wash that will not leave scratches is a touchless with no towel drying at the end...if there is any kind of touching at all there will be some degree of swirls....

How can you say you "had no problems" but then "expect a little bit of scratching?" I'd say the "little bit of scratching" is a problem.

AZuser,

I was about to post the exact same thing. It's really frustrating to me that you just have to "expect some scratches." I live in Bethesda, MD, so there are several Flagships near where I live. If anyone knows of a "touchless" carwash in the greater D.C. metro area. I'd really appreciate a recommendation. Thanks!

Look in the yellow pages .. a lot of mobile detailers offer wash services.

I do it here for a dozen or so business men .. I go get thier car .. wash/dry/vac do the dash & wash the windows then bring it back to the office.

And its done with sheep skin mitts and M/F towels .. $25 to $40

No Touchless car wash is going to leave you without ANY scratches. Even if you wash it at home, you get minimal scratches.

Whenever if ever I take my car to a car wash, I expect to leave with some scratches, thats why I say what I said. Thats all.

Too True! Especially with black! Thats why I have silver! LOL!

I know they are hard to find but I always scan the gas station washes to find ones that are touchless and then mark them on my GPS. SO far I only have one in Leesburg! LOL! I only use them in the winter time! Otherwise only my hand touches my cars. And even then it gets swirled, there is just no way to avoid it. My wifes black Lexus is just starting to look alittle swirled after I washed it today. I'll prob hit it with a light polish like Menzerna Nano on a white pad to clean up the light marring and spider webbing in the next couple weeks. 2x a year is typical for me when it comes to polishing and I take care of my cars meticulously.
