Experience w/ Autobahn?

I am very interested in purchasing this for my new TSX coming in March. If it really does what it says it does, then its well worth it to me because I've seen the front end of my 1998 Integra have paint chips and bug crap all over that has ruined the paint and keeps it from shining like the rest of the car. So does anyone have experience with it?

When you said Autobahn, I thought u were going to Germany. I've never heard of a cleaner called that though.

LOL, sorry about the confusion guys. I'm talking about the Autobahn ROADBLOCK product that Acura offers for new cars. Basically its a plastic urethane strip that goes on the front of the car and the turn signals to prevent paint ships from debris.

Ok, i think I know what those are, and my advice. Dont get it. All it is is a paint matched strip which they stick on the car. Problem is, the strip can still get chips, scratches, etc. It just like having paint on your car, except for the fact that the real paint underneath the plastic is not getting the same exposure as the rest of the car. Over time, this could cause the shades to look different if you ever took the plastic off.

Well, here is my experience with my Integra. Its a 1998 so the paint is still immaculate. The hood doesn't seem to have any discoloration...not the front end is an entirely different story. It has paint chips all over the place and bug tar that has ruined the shine of the paint. The ROADBLOCK product is supposed to keep the paint from chipping. Its actually not a paint matched strip, its actually clear and is applied over the front end. You can't see where the strip ends unless you go right up to it. They had it at the dealership and it looks like there's nothing there. If it really does the job, then I'll be asking my dealer to install it for me.

Also consider the 3M clear bra. Best $300 I ever spent on my car's bumper and hood.

I believe the Autobahn ROADBLOCK is the same type of thing as these clear bras that you guys are mentioning. I'll do a search and see what's up. Thanks guys.

I just did a search on "clear bra" and then "bra" and then "3m" and the only thing I got was the word "clear". I guess I'll do some more research on the Internet itself.

Hmm......so it'll stain if you don't clean it up quick? The Acura dealer said that if there's anything dirty or wrong with the stuff, that they would come out and clean it up. I'm wondering if that would be a hassle to clean up the bug crap every single time.

"Bra" and "3m" probably got ommited due to the length, I think there is a good amount of talk around the 3rd gen TL forum about it though, try looking around there.

Thanks man! I'll search for it and hopefully he installs as well. I know there's another product that the Sponsor ROCKBLOCKER sells. There's actually a group buy going on, so I just asked him if he knew of any reputable installers in the North East.
