Exhaust Tip Cleaner

I'm sure this has been covered and I did some searches w/o success, but what is everyone using to clean up your exhaust tips? Mine finally got away from me and need something more to pull off the carbon (?) build up.

Found this on e-bay and while I'm not this bad, this is what I need to happen --> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chrom...ries#vi-ilComp

Yup, Bar Keeper's Friend.

It's cheap, and it works.

I'd recommend P21S Polishing Soap. Works great, and smells wonderful.

^ Bar Keeper's Friend is $2 and Eagle One Never Dull is less than $5.

What exactly makes the P21s either 2x or 5x better at $11?

• Use a cleaner (P21S Polishing Soap) to remove any surface blemishes
• Use a mild polish (Happich Semichrome Polish, or Autosol or P21S® Multi-Surface Finish Restorer) to prevent re-oxidation and provide a water-resistant coating and restore lustre to the chrome
• To restore chrome that is pitted or has rust spots, remove with #0000 synthetic bronze wool and /or a metal polish (Auto Wenol Blue, or use Red for chrome restoration)
• Finally apply a polymer sealant (Zoopseal) to provide lasting protection

It's easy to use and less messy, plus it smells great and performs every time. The included sponge has the necessary bite to remove oxidization and embedded contaminants from even the most delicate surfaces without causing damage, including chrome.

Eagle One Never Dull is a great product that has been around for years, and I've personally used it on several occasions, but ever since using P21S Polishing Soap, I'll probably never use another metal polish again because it performs that well.

With your 10% off coupon code Acurazine it brings the price down to less than $10 too!

Find a product that you like, that performs to your expectations, and stick with it.

I just want to throw a thank you out to those that suggested the Bar Keeper's Friend. It took some elbow grease, but the tips on my TSX look brand new. That stuff is officially in my cleaning supplies from now on.

I have a friend that used a magic eraser. Shine has lasted for just over 2 months and doesn't seem to be fading. The eraser actually wasn't abrasive like I originally thought it would be.

Glad you found a tool for the toolbox.
