The difference in these kits?

http://www.autogeek.net/porter-cable-meguiars-kit.html

vs

http://www.detailedimage.com/DI-Pack...205-pads-P438/

From the looks of it, you get 2 MF towels, and two 2 CCS Gray Finishing 5.5 Inch Foam Pads vs No MF towels and 2 Lake Country White Polishing Pad

Would the price difference be worth it? I do need the MF towels but I cant see the pads being that big of a price difference.

I will be using 105, 205, then 4* UPP, then maybe a wax on top of that.

One 5.5" pad and 2 MF towels are not worth 65 bucks imo. Plus the pad cleaner is a big plus. You'll see what I mean when it comes time to clean your pads. The grey pads from AG could be used to apply your UPP. But I would do that by hand anyway...less waste and you cant get to all of the small part with a machine.

I'd go with the Detailed Image package and buy 2 MF towels from them too, and you'll still come out ahead.

Go with Detailed Image package for $210.

Paying $40 more for the Autogeek package gives you an extra orange pad and instead of 3 pad cleaners like in the Detailed Image package, you get 2 microfiber towels instead.

Orange pad is about $9-$10 and microfiber towels are about $4-$5 each.... so $20 max value there which means autogeek package should be $230 (not $250) relative to Detailed Image package.

Check https://twitter.com/DetailedImage and http://www.retailmenot.com/view/autogeek.net for any applicable coupons.

Personally, I'd go with this: http://www.detailersdomain.com/Griot...tem_p_703.html for $240. It's a better machine. Coupon ACURA is suppose to give 10% off

Thanks for the help guys! I think I may actually get the griots. I found a flex near me on Craigslist but the dude wanted to keep it because his detailing business was growing!

With the griots would I get m105,205 as well?
Looking to spend $350 or so including the upp.

No. The Griot's kit I linked to comes with the Meguiars microfiber correction system, so instead of M105 and M205, you get D300 (a correcting compound) and D301 (a cleaner and wax).

If you prefer M105 and M205, then buy the Griot's basic kit that comes with just the pads >> http://www.detailersdomain.com/Griot...Kit_p_683.html

and then buy M105, M205, and microfiber towels separately.

I haven't used the Meg's microfiber correction kit yet, but I've read and heard good things about it.
