Detailing Question

So, I love the way the 'ACURA' and the Acura logo appear on the trunk, but I hate that I can't clean up to the edge and I always see the buildup of crud. Of course this is my OCD showing itself here since no one but me sees it, but how do you get that little bit of crap off there without damaging the paint? And in the top of the 'A', how do you get into that little gap?

I was thinking of using something like a toothbrush but was concerned about messing up the paint. It won't bother it at all?

^^ I'm leaning more towards the Q-tip option. I would worry about micro scratches with a toothbrush. Or, maybe go around it gently with a toothpick?

I also sent a note to the folks over at Zaino to see what they recommend, I'll let you know what I find out.

whenever i detail either my car or a customers, I tape off all the areas that polish and wax would normally seep into with blue 3m painters tape. it takes me much less time to tape up the car beforehand than cleaning all the cracks with a brush after. there is a huge section about this technique over at meguiarsonline.com

Q-tips or rubber tipped detailing pens.....
Use a QD to help loosen the wax buildup, saturate it let dwell for several minutes then remove.
