I've tried everything to get the remanats of this pin stripe off, I haven't yanked it off yet tho. The only thing that seems to remove the gunk behind it is Denatured Alcohol. But I'm positive this is bad for the clear coating, especially on a 10 year old car thats never been repainted. I was wondering if I washed and waxed the car afterwards would I be ok?

What type of gunk are you talking about? Is it vinyl pinstriping? If it is, try some W-40!
Polish, and seal!

The pinstripe comes up like its nothing, the dealer I brought it from a few days ago stuck it on thier... It doesn't match at all.... Its like a small outline under the bottom stripe and a heavy outline and gunk,? i dunno what it is, behind the top one. The alchol removes both of them easily.

Ok, I must have misunderstood. I would polish at least. Or use an all in one type of product afterwards. (A cleaner/wax)

Over the counter, Mother cleaner/wax or megs #6 (cleaner/wax). Both good interim choices.....

How do I get my pin stripes off? They appera to painted on my '02 TL-S. Ive heard there is a way other than repainting.
