Clay is abrasive and designed to remove bonded contamination from the paint surface and used with a polish will remove previously applied forms of paint protection. You may want to read what the warranty/guarantee covers and if using an abrasive material voids it. The protectant they used is probably a polymer sealant and you would have to go back to them for an annual application (or something to that effect). You should have gotten a monthly maintenance kit you use once a month to gloss it and extend it's protective capabilities.
