Wash, Clay, then Wash again???
Please don't tell me that I haveto wash my car right after I clay it. I can't seem to find any information anywhere on howto properly clay bar the car.
I am actually in the process of doing it (haven't started the claying part, just finished washing it and then drying it). Someone tell me what the proper way to clay the car is please.

After you've washed the car, make sure you have a lubricant (water, clay lube) and a damp towel. Spray the lubricant on the car, and proceed to clay in a side to side or up and down motion. NO CIRCULAR MOTIONS!! then just wipe the excess with a towel. Thats it. You can wash again if you want to, but not really necessary.

Why is it absolutely required to wash again, if you wipe up all the excess with a towel? Its a waste of time to wash it again, all the dirt will be on the clay bar, not the car.

I would wash again just for the simple fact that the lubricant you used (I.E. Soap) is a surfactant that carried dirt away... atleast rinse the car off and dry.. get all that poop out of the trunk gutters and misc. areas
