Car Wax

Has anyone ever used Griot's products? My classic car/muscle car friends swear by them.I've always used Mother's or Zymol. How do they compare to Zaino?? 2004,TL. SSM.Ebony,700MI.

Sarge, Im not so sure Griots has stayed with technology, they make high gloss, user friendly products, thats why your friend probably swear by them, its easy to use and gives decent results. There have been so many changes in the detailing industry within the last 10 yrs, its really amazing the variety of polishes, glazes, multi use products, sealants, waxes that are available to todays consumer. Different products react differently to different paint/clearcoats also. What may look good on a Benz, looks not as good on a Chrysler....etc...
I just set someone up with the Wolfgang line, which is a new product, only a few months old, I was lucky enough to get on the product demo and got the whole kit for $10.00 a couple months ago. Its now $50.00. And all i had to do was use it, and give my opinion of it. Wallah, a new product is born.....And its an excellent one at that, and i have every bit of confidence the user will be more than happy with it. In my opinion, Z is a pain to use and way too much $$$ for the results....Ive used Zymol cleaner/wax once, and asked myself, "what do i do with all the dust?", havent touched it since.
Griots makes good stuff.....but theres better... :facelick:

I've used Griots products and they're great. On my previous car, I tried Griots, and Pinnicale Soveregn Wax, and the pinnacle seemed to provide a better shine on the NBP TL. This time around, I'm using Zaino on my 04 Anthracite with great results, and I don't think this stuff is hard to use at all. As a matter of fact, it's easier to use than most carnuba based products. The price is not that bad either since it lasts so long and the stuff is used so sparingly. The only thing I use a lot of is the spray, since I use it constantly to remove road dust and between washings. When I first got my new 04TL, I tried using Zaino on 1/2 the hood...and it did make a tremendous difference on the side that was done vs. the untreated side. It made so much difference it was scary....I judged it by the reflection of the light bulb in my garage. The treated side would show the filament of the light bulb clearly, while the untreated side looked blurry and the filament was not distinct. I also tried using the Pinnacle Soveregn Carnuba wax, and I couldn't tell much difference between it and Zaino, but the Zaino was much easier to apply and especially remove.
