Can't get rid of window streaks

I've been using Stoner's Invisible Glass (which is supposed to be good?) with microfiber, newspaper, rags..... in the sun and in the shade and the streaks just do not go away. I have a big glass hatch and t-tops and it looks great in the shade but once there's some light, it looks like ass all around.

How much Invisible Glass should I spray? I've tried spraying it on the wiping medium first, then wiping and spraying on the window first and then wiping, but neither work perfect. I even wipe the inside and outside. Help!

Your best bet is to use two microfiber towels. One is damp and wipes most of the gunk off while you follow up with the second MF (dry) and "buff" whatever residue is left over. If you choose to do it with only one MF, you'll want to use very minimal amounts of IG.

Some rubbing alcohol and soft cotton balls should help too, just don't touch the rubber parts too much. If the car is an older car, the previous owner may have smoked a lot in it, and the oils from smoke are on those pieces that touch the glass, then recontaminate it every time you open and close the windows. In which case, replace them.

Invisible Glass is an excellent product. However, it is not that good at cleaning very dirty windows. I would get streaking if the glass is really dirty so I would have to apply it twice. I would use two MF towels. One MF for the gross dirt and the second towel for the final wipe. Other than this instance, I never have issues with Invisible Glass.

Hell I'll take a video later if I have to, though it'll have to wait until tomorrow. I tried using the damp/dry MF "associate" towel combo but I guess it was just too sunny and the IG dried up before I could wipe it up with the dry towel, plus my windows were REALLY dirty beforehand. I'll try out the rubbing alcohol deal, and I doubt anyone smoked in my car before, I check the cig lighter and there's nothing on it at all, at least I think so.

Thanks guys.

Ya know I never really had any luck with Stoners IG myself....I ended up going to Sprayway or Surf City Glass Cleaner. I do the 2 towel method also. Sometimes I will take a water dampened MF afterwards and give it one final wipe to remove any glass cleaner residue.
Also make sure your using a good clean MF. No fabric softener when washing MF's right?
