California Water Blade

I saw this the other day and was wondering, will this thing scratch the paint. Looks pretty good. I've used other water blades to help dry my car but I never noticed if it scratched the paint.

Thanks, I won't use it then. Do they sell waffle weave drying towels in stores or is it available only through Excel?

They're definitely something you can purchase OTC but they also aren't as soft as the ones from Excel. Me personally, I don't buy the OTC WW towels, they just seem too rough.

One option is the Big Blue Plush drying towel the sell at Walmart for $8. As with any you will need 2 of them.

I have had some of these for 3 years and if treated properly they will stay soft. I have not found them to marr anything.

But as said above the better ones are ordered from Patrick.
Ideal starter is the Eurow bucket which includes a towel and at the same time order on of the Pacific WW towels he has.

Look here.

Thanks guys, I picked one up last night and used it for the first time washing my new TL and checked it out this morning and no scratches. I didn't really think it would scratch. If it did, I wanted to ask if the people that ordered the Eurow Kit from Excel use the water blade that comes in the kit.

Most likely it won't scratch, but it only takes one grain of sand or gravel to scratch your paint. You could use a water blade 100 times and you may not get any scratches, then get scratches on the 101 use of the water blade.
