a good paint sealant stops them from sticking. Also, get them off as soon as possible.

Lay some wet towels along the front end for 15-20 minutes. Keep them saturated......After they are rehydrated, removal is very easy.

What about the ones that are REALLY stuck on there...almost etched in. I have a couple big ones that I cannot get off easily at all.

Bounty dryer sheet dipped in water... bugs just wipe right off! Then rinse off and rewax.

I'm not so sure on this one .. I used to do it once in a while on a few couple of customers cars that were leases and not taken care of and 2 experienced signs of clear coat failure on the leading edge of the hood etc. Not sure if its related to it but too much of a coincidence for me.

I got the cars to do once a month and would use the sheet and then reseal the front area.

try what Pat suggested. wet towels or any other way to keep them constantly absorbing water for some time.

If that doesn't work, try goo gone. I know some CL guys have used it on their paint without problem.

That's a good idea, never thought of that. No damage to the paint for sure though?

Well, I know a bunch of CL guys have used it to remove the adhesive residue when they debadge... I take no responsibility if something does happen, but I haven't heard of any problems with it.

He is meaning unpainted plastic.

As far as goo gone for bugs I don't know why people have to be so aggressive and use these type of products to remove bugs when moisture and a little patience will do it and at the same time leave the wax/sealant on the bumper etc.

Goo Gone and some of these other products may look like they don't harm the paint, and on a once only use may not but over time and regular usage could be a different story. Just because it didn't immediatly wrinkle up the clear doesn't mean its not doing something to it.
