black tsx "deep smearing effects"

i don't know what to call what i see.

to the eye it looks like it's beneath the surface but not just like it's under the wax it gives the illusion of something that is inches deep, which is impossible.

they appear as bands of light streaks in up and down patterns or circular.

i've seen it in a few spots on the car. can only bee seen from certain angles well lit or sunlit settings.

is it the wax or the paint? i'm at a loss.

the dealer said that it would go away with some polishing/waxing.

Search this forum for hologram. I think this is where Swirl remover and All in One products work to improve, followed by polymer or wax

The is just a guess, but it could be light marring with just enough light that the edges will cause enough of a reflection to cause that effect. Maybe the other guys will chime in and offer their take. I would suggest a PC with a light polishing pad and a mild polish. YOu can do this by hand but that would be time consuming and would not get the same result as with a PC.

from what i now, it can be from applying wax to heavily at once and smearing the coat underneath. This happened to me on my TL when i first got it, but with the removal of the wax it was gone.
