Acura tl black first detail

I finally got all my products and will be doing my first detail tomorrow. Plan to clay, Menzernasip and nano and then souveran wax. my question is normally you use an orange pad with the sip and white with nano. I know the acura paint is soft should I use white with the sip also and then white with the nano?

Thanks for the help.

Jim

I think it depends on how much damage you have right now on the surface.

Start with White Polishing pad + SIP.

If it isn't polishing out.

Step up to Yellow Cutting Pad + SIP.

You always want to try the least aggressive combination of products and move up as necessary. The following list goes from least aggressive to most aggressive for the products you've listed.
  • Nano with white pad
  • Nano with orange pad
  • SIP with white pad
  • SIP with orange pad

What timing. I just completed detailing my TL-S today. What type of machine are you using? How much correction do you need to perform? I currently use the Flex XC 3401 VRG and I would recommend starting with a white pad and the Menz SIP. The Nano will not provide that much correction if you have a lot of swirls. I suspect an orange pad will create some pretty good marring on the soft Acura paint. Try the white pad first and move up to the orange if necessary. Nano polish and a white pad should be able to remove any marriing. Nano is a great polish.

I am using a flex 3401 also. Thanks for the advise, I will definitely start with the white pad.
