1st time using PC

I bought my PC a couple weeks ago, and I've chomping at the bit to use it ever since. I was waiting until I had all the pads before I used it. Long story short, I hastily ordered a female adapter for the PC, and I needed a male. All I have is the white pad that came with the PC. I figured since Acura paint is soft, I'd give it a shot. I can feel only a couple of the scratches with my finger, most are just surface.

This is what I started with:

I used OC with the white pad first, the followed with OP, finally Mothers Reflections to top it off.

The result:

I'm pretty sure I would have came out better w/ an orange pad & OC.
What do you guys think?

Thanks. When I get the right backing plate, I'll go over with the orange pad. Is a blue pad for finishing?

That's a huge improvement from what I can see. An orange pad could possibly help if you really need to get that aggressive. Oh and as a tip, always try to go with more aggressive pad first before going to a more aggressive polish/compound. Finish it off with OP and the blue pad and you'll be set.

Where do you get the blue pad? Patrick only has the white pad. Is the white pad not suppose to be use for finishing?

White can also be used for finishing. If you wanted something close to blue, go with the Black erasure........
Pad results are very dependent upon polishes being used, as well as the color of paint.
Ive finished up with Orange and OP before with no problems.....

I got the blue pad from a vendor at a car show. It came with the backing plate I bought.
