07 TL-S first car wash

hello guys, i m a proud new owner of 07 Type-S TL WDP. Even though its only 4 days since i bought the car, i already have close to 900 miles on it. i will be doing the first car wash tomorrow. i am overwhelmed by the wealth of information on this section of acurazine. i would call it online wash & wax school (www.washnwax.edu, may be sometime in the future). i m up for learning, but would like to know basics that would get me through the car wash tomorrow, without causing ny swirls & scratches. Also how long should i wait before i do the first wax. after reading this wash & wax forum yesterday , i went to pepboys & bought WW micro fiber towel, 2 buckets, maguaire wash soaf, maguaire tire shiner, maguaire rim cleaner. i would really like to know more guys
links to other threads would also be highly appreciated.thanx

get a sheepskin mitt, that will help alot.
NO GOING IN CIRCLES ONLY BACK AND FORTH!!!!!!!!!!!!(not comliance will result in paint destruction)
get some good wax like meg's NXT, and aply as stated on bottle.
You can wax as may times as you want to, just don't go to crazy like everyday.
BTW, i bought a Mr. Clean thingy and use the filtered water so no minerals will scratch the paint.

Congrats on your new purchase. As far as washing, check out this thread by Exceldetail. If you follow the porcess you should not have any problems. You can also check Autopia's How To Wash & Dry Your Car. Although swirls are inevitable, you can minimize them by using the proper tools and equipment mentioned in the previous links.

Waxing, I would definetly apply a coat of sealant especially with the onset of winter. I would recommend using a paint cleaner prior to applying the sealant. If you're going OTC, look into the Duragloss line of products. The DG 111 is a quality sealant and maintain it with DG AW.

Refer to this thread to see what products some of the AZ member prefer to use.
