0000 Steel Wool
So I've been reading alot of sites about the use of 0000 steel wool on the windshield and it seems like I can't get a straight answer unless I go ahead and do it myself or better yet test it out on my girlfriends car. I just want to clean the windshield of the streaks that happens when it rains and its dark out. So has anyone just cleaned their windshield with the Stoner Invisible Glass then steel wool it?

Give it a really good wash and use better wipers, that will solve your issue. Also wipe the wiper blades down when you are washing the car, they collect dirt on them as well.

Plenty of people have used 0000 steel wool with success, on the other hand some people have reported it does leave micro scratches that do not come out. Before trying steel wool try rubbing alcohol, may be grease that window cleaners can't get out. If that does not work try a glass polish, several brands out here.
Last if you do decide to go the steel wool route try just a corner of the windshield first. Glass is different, it may do fine on your girlfriends car but not on yours.

Hmmm
I used rubbing alcohol in the corner of the window with no success the streaks were still there. Used Stoners Invisible Glass as a lubricant with a razor blade and still no success. Where the wipers wipe the windows theirs no streaks its where the wipers cant get that have the streaks. I think the streaks are from acid rain but the funny thing is its only on the windshield . The sunroof or moonroof are crystal clear and so are the other windows. Clay will not work is there something out there to get rid of acid rain streaks??? That I can buy at an auto store?

Bon ami powdered cleaner has been used for years, and is recommended by auto manufacturers:

Don't use other scouring powders, some are more aggressive and may damage the glass.
Brass wool is also an old body shop trick for removing overspray from windshields, but it's not easy to find locally.

Could be rain streaks .. could be the chemicals they use to deice the roads .... could be chemical fallout. Windshield glass is porous. and material can go in the glass. Wipe it with white vinegar then use Duragloss NuGlass on it. Might take a couple tries. Car Quest carries it.

Razor blade scrapper. Been using it for years. Glass must be wet. I usually use glass cleaner. Hold razor as parallel to the glass as possible. Works great and will not scratch glass.
