With that said, thats is just my opinion. There is no one BEST product. Most have pluses and negatives. It all depends on what your trying to accomplish. goodluck in your presute for the "best product"

Gotta agree with Mach30SiR. There is no best. What's best is what works for you. A more feasible question would be "What are your favorite or go to products?"

You might wanna check out this thread from a couple months back. Basically the same idea........ what works for the members. With new and improved products the favs may change slightly.

Best wax or Sealant:
Is there a best? In my opinion- No! While its true many of the chemicals used in the formulation of car care products are the same (or at least very similar) Having used a variety of different products I can tell one from another and field testing shows that not all have the durability either, some simply out perform others in many categories and react differently when applied to different paint types, colours, or varied paint surface conditions.

There is no one product that can produce all of the properties for an optically perfect shine, however; for high surface gloss and surface reflectance-a polymer sealant, which also provides durability. Detailing enthusiasts consider shine as only one attribute of a protective wax or sealant. They are equally concerned with; ease of application, resistance to abrasion, atmospheric contamination and weathering.

a) For depth of shine and clarity-(shine; is more dependant on the paints condition and then the prep) a Carnauba wax (also provides a sacrificial and easily renewable barrier against airborne contaminants.
b) For an optically perfect shine- for long term durability and protection apply a polymer sealant (Zaino Z2PRO™ + ZFX™ Flash Cure Accelerator Additive) to a carefully prepared level, clean paint surface and add a Carnauba wax or Zaino Z-8™ Grand Finale Spray Seal as a (LSP) last step product.
c) The aesthetics of a vehicle appearance is very subjective to say the least, the only best wax or sealant that really matters is what looks 'best' to you.
d) It really is all dependants upon; 85% preparation, 5% product, 7% application method and the balance is in the ‘guy’ of the beholder. (A detailer’s skill level is also extremely important)

Ultimately the best wax or sealant will prove to be the one that best meets its user's objectives.

i agree. however, since not finding 303 in any store near me i had to go online. that stuff is so cool. a matte finish like no other. dont like shine at all. poor armorall guys.......anywhos, thats why i was considering lexol for my seats (just got my tl 2 mnths ago) but i heard its a bit shiny. then i found from this forum, the Z products. z1 through z1000 it seems like. lol i want that new car leather smell and saw that z9and 10 take care of that.. plus no shine.

so , i guess personal preference does matter,, for me, i like what the pros (if u will) and the majority use.,,,,,,only bec it been tested and reccommended on the new tls. ...and it seems to work the best considering the car and the materials in the car. of course everyone has its own opinions,,,,but i like tested and A+ approved.....
so, is there a list of the online stores where we can purchase.??

zaino-?
optimum?
Duragloss?

lastly, iam a very anal person about my car. if i did the numerous step by step by step process to wash and wax and this and that and this and that, and bars and clays, and wax and cleaners, and polish and sealant, etc, etc, ,,,,it would take me 3 days just to finsih the steps. around here it woudl rain b4 i was finsihed.. so since getting my car i have washed it every week. and then use a spray on or that nano spray on b4 the next wash. it looks great......so my question is.........b4 the winter hits,, what should i do b4 the snow and sait come? do i want to use a good wax, i guess?
please remember,,, this is all new to me so thank you in advance for either repeating another thread or just typing out what i can do.

Most of the folks on the upper East Coast and Mid West and our members in Canada do pre-winter detail (for lack of a better term) by applying a fresh coat of sealant or possibly several layers. Sealants as you well know, is durable and will last anywhere from 3-4 months using additional products such as DGAW, OCW, UPPS, Z-8 will extend the longevity. I'm sure you'll get lots more input from others who read this thread/post.
