What else are people using for their bluetooth phones. It looks like most are using the SE610/616 and some the S56(?). How about others? I need to get one now (currently w/ T-mobile), and just want some ideas options as to whether people are sucessfull with other phones.

S56 and BT200
I have had my S56 paired with my TL since I bought it. When I tried to pair my new BT200 headset, it asked me if I wanted to "replace speakerphone". If I select "no", it doesn't pair the BT200. However, if I select "yes", it pairs it and overwrites my TL pairing. I've traded emails with a couple of people that say they have the S56 paired to both the TL and BT200, so I know it is possible. If I can't get the BT200 paired, I'm going to return it and admit failure. I hate failure. Failure is not an option. Can anyone help?

I upgraded my phone by going into a local shop here in Toronto.
It was $30 Canadian. I was told you can do this easily by
buying a cable. The same cable is included to anyone who
owns a P800 I was told.

Update for deleted posts.
Latest news that I have from our corporate Rogers/ATT rep for the GTA market is that the Motorola V600 will be available early to mid March.
I was told to expect a price tag of around CAD$350 with a 24 month plan.
I will update you as soon as I hear anything further from him.
Edit: This is info for Canadian TL owners.

Those people having trouble storing #s in Phonebook of HFL bcoz of bad voice recognition ..here's a tip and it works evry time ( and its better than switching ON/OFF your car as one had siggested in earlier threads:-
Whenver HFL gets the # you trying to store ,let it store the wrong # first, then come back immediately and edit the entry and now enter the # you wanted to ...and voila! this time it recognises your voice correctly and stores the right # !

For those of you looking to get a unlocked compatible BT phone and are still stuck in a contract like me... I have a possible solution. I was looking at the GSM phones on Ebay and see the prices they are going for. I decided to take a little risk after doing some extensive research on the internet and spent $33 to get a new unlocked SE T630 (it will be replacing the 610/616). www.thetopmobile.com lets you get on a list to get a free phone. these sites kinda seem like a scam but they are all over Ebay and this one is based out of Denver and takes paypal. I found the company that all of the sites are based off of and it explains how to set up the site almost like fundraising sites for cub scouts. The catch is having enough people sign up to get your phone, but you do get them. there are lots of people on this forum and that would be a good way to fill the lists and help each other get hot phones for a hot car. Check out www.thetopmobile.com and use me -Marc Lewbart- as a reference.

Just an F.Y.I. for you all I have a sony ericsson p900 which does not work with my new 2004 TL. The paring process completes without a problem but when you go to use the voice commands from the car the TL reports that there are no phones detected. Sony Ericsson knows about the problem but they wrote back that they have no plans to fix it. Bunch of crap. The phone is great so I just ended up getting a Logitech blue tooth headset which works great. Maybe some day.-aram

re: I've just gotten used to saying, "Call Office Voice Mail... Call... Send Office PIN... Send"
There is a little easier way: say
"Call Office Voice Mail"
hold the talk button down once it's confirmed; when it answers say
"Send Office PIN"
hold the talk button down once it's confirmed -- that's it. No need to say "call" again for "send" twice.....try it! : )

I think it's not the P900's problem, which is just the bluetooth phone without HFL profile feature. Why do SE have to fix? SE may have P1000 next year with HFL feature.
IMO, most of bluetooth phones could be paired with 04TL, but this doesn't mean they would work with 04TL and this doesn't mean those bluetooth ones having problems.
Basically you gotta check what Acura website says. Otherwise, Acura could just tell us all Bluetooth phones are workable...
You need to flash program into P900 and make the update. I heard some "rumors" said there are ways to do it now... Check your local cell dealers or some dealers in Chinatown...
Hello all,
I just joined this group and have read many great posts about the 04 TL. I am a huge Acura fan. I have owned a total 9 Acura's dating back to 1987. I just traded in my 02 TL type S and bought a Black/Camel 04 TL Auto, without Navi. I now wish I would have bought one with Navi. It was hard to pass up the deal I got on this car. I paid $31,100 with mud flaps and trunk mat.
OK enough about me. I bought a Panasonic X70 to replace my T68I right after I got my car and found out the hard way that it didn't work very well with the Bluetooth handsfree. I wish I would have read the post on this forum before I bought the phone. My questions is, has anybody tried the Motorola V600? Is it compatible with this system? I prefer a flip phone and the only reason I am using a T68I is because of the Bluetooth feature.
Thanks for all of the great information about the new TL. I have learned more about the car on this forum than I did from the Dealer....

The v600 is not out yet for the public. Unless you want to pay $800.00 of ebay. The v600 is suppose to be released in march. I hope this is true because i myself love motorola and not a big sony fan at least for phones.

I think the crackling seems related to the volume pushed from the handset to the car. It seems like the incoming sound is over-attenuated.
