Will TPMS work on a 04-05 wheel????
I have an 06 and have a curbed wheel. Wondering if I bought a 04-05 used wheel if the TPMS would transfer right over. Thanks.

Reread his post. He has a 2006. He wants to know if he can use older wheels.
Yes you can, they're just harder to balance. I'm running 2005 A-specs with sensors.

Does this mean that you cannot reasonably and / or affordably retrofit the OEM TPMS into an 04TL??

My local dealer puts a lot of after market wheels on TLs they sell. They have several new TLs on the lot with after market 18" wheels. I asked the Service Manager if the TPMS worked OK with those wheels. He said yes they do if the sensors are reset or recalibreted after the wheels are installed. He also told me that they reset the sensors when they rotate the tires on my 05 RL and my 06 TL. I don't know if this is true but that's what he told me.
