DIY: Ebay Accord Foglight Wiring

This is what i brought from ebay.

Here the link: http://motors.search.ebay.com/search...&fsop=1&fsoo=1

Username, just in case:sprinter91801

Any of the HONDA ACCORD 04-05 4 DOORS FOGLIGHTS should work

Hope this will help you. ^.^

1.Front bumper removal

Video
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/diy-video-updated-removing-front-bumper-3g-garage-e-080-a-628363/

Manual
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/headlight-front-bumper-inner-fender-w-wash-tank-hid-bulb-scans-garage-e-001-g-001-a-587181/

2. Cutting

I used this as a guide of where and how to cut out the grille and bumper.
This is the hard put.

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/grate-grin-stock-05-tl-610472/

3. Part I: Wiring the wires

OPTION (A or B)

A) SWICTH

this mean- you can turn on or off your fog lights when your headlights are on.
The kool thing about this one is that you can control your fogs with the same switch as your headlights. just keep the fog switch on, in order to do this.
But the downside is that you cant just turn on the fogs by itself, you need to turn you headlights first in order to turn on your fogs.

B) NO SWITCH

Some people dont like a switch at all. you can connect the GREEN wire to your fuse box under your hood.
any of the headlight fuse should work. dont forget to use the fuse sharer as shown. I think you need a 10A mini fuse
This mean your headlight switch will control you fogs and headlights on and off. and THATS ALL.

4. Part II: wiring the switch (If you choose to go with B. NO NEED FOR THIS PART)

Close up on tapping the wire

When its all done.

Did all the hard work for you guys in one simple fourm.
GOOD LUCK! ^.^

Thankyou very much.

I want to do this mod for sure. But I want clear fogs not yellow, personal preference only.

I also want to just wire it to a separate switch so I can turn them on alone or with any combination.

if you are goin to run a HID kit to these fog...wud you still need the relay??? shud the power wire parallel to both ballast with a fuse to protect them and if you want to have a seperate switch.....a ground on the switch, a 12v supply comin in and the other line goin to the fused wire goin to the ballast

seems relatively simple....

i have 2 questions now:

1.) what bulb size fits in this housing?

2.) what the hell do you call the light that is already on the car? (not the main headlight which is a bi-xenon bulb) the one that is 9005 and only comes on with when the bi-xenon bulb is on and you turn the switch on the column.
....I thought the car came with DRLs? But clearly this light never comes on unless the above operation is initiated.

Those are called "incorporated fog lights", being that they're incorporated in the headlight. They don't look as cool, obviously...but hey...we do what we can or deal with with it. I bought some nokya yellow's to put in for some contrast with the HID's

Your HID kit should come with the necessary wiring, read the description of what you are buying and make sure it comes with it. Then just wire it as he explained above. There should be no worries.

Check back in the first post of this thread. There's a link to another thread under part (2. Cutting) with pics of these fogs installed on a black 05 with no Aspec lip.

Just found this. I haven't read about it and am not planning to do this mod any time soon and the price seems a little weird but if anyone is interested take a look at it.

Angel eyes are such low current draw that no you don't NEED one...though some might choose to use one due to habit.

OK KOOL.

So you are saying I can just wire them like the above diagram? Just get an automotive switch and give them 12 volts?

I want to clear/paint my headlights and install the 2 ballasts/angel eyes.

Thanks for any help.

SORRY for the thread HI-JACK.

After this MOD^^^ I want to add the Accord fogs. They look awesome.

i have the set up wired and working...
however if i leave the parking lights and the switch on for the fogs and arm the car the fogs come on and off every time the park lights light up...same thing goes for when i unlock the doors....is there a way of preventing this flicker from happening where i can leave the park lights and fog lights on and have the lock feature turn off the lights and when i go to unlock the car the fogs wont come on and off and come on and off????
