Tint in Dallas

New 2010 TL owner. I'm looking to have ceramic tint installed this weekend and was quoted a great price from Dallas Auto Tint in Garland off Jupiter. Has anyone had any work done by them? Any issues?

I've had mine done through ProTint in Plano, but David at Tritek does amazing work.

I have always used Alta Mere in North Richland Hills. Just got a Groupon for $59 that covers $120 worth of work. I want to get the ceramic like I had on my Cobra mustang and will see if I can apply this to the cost.

Hey guys. I did get my tint done on Saturday. It looks great! 3M Ceramic for $190. I do have one bubble on the passenger rear window that will need to be fixed but besides that it's perfect. I'm going to give it one more day to cure and probably take it back to them on Saturday morning to get that fixed.

Nice ride!

How is the new dealership? My car came from the old Goodson Acura dealership and have not had a chance to run by the new location yet. Using MacChurchill in Fort Worth since I live on that side of the world.

Thank Trojan! I was never in the old building but the new building was very nice. The service area looks to be well organized and the whole place was very very clean and crisp.

Tritek did my CRV. They removed the old tint and applied new. 5% on back window, back 2 side windows, and 2 back doors. 5% strip on front window, and 35% on front 2 doors...
Took my TL with NO tint on windows and less windows to tint, and they wanted twice as much... I lol'ed and went somewhere else.

Tritek is overkill. They did my friend 370z and he paid $600..i laughed at him for being dumb and asked why it cost so much..he said: They used the best "tint". Not worth $600 imho.

I think some places are priced high because they know newer cars need to have tint that doesnt interfere with radio/satelite signals.

I ended up getting the Signal series by Solargenics. Bad thing is that I could only tint to 15% in the back. That series doesnt have the limo grade I wanted. Cant tell you price since it was a hookup tho it retails around 250 to 300 I think.

I work at Sewell Cadillac and my tint guy does tint at home for really good prices. I think I paid $140 ish for my 6th gen accord and it was spot on! He uses FORMULAONE tint. Its what we use at the dealership as well and I have yet to see any fade or bubble or anything. I can post his # on here if anyone would like.

Probably not the cheapest in town, but for $10.00 more, you can get Llumar CTX put on at Glacier Window Tinting. That's where I got mine done.

i was offered $125 for llumar ATC at a place near me. is there a big difference thats worth the extra and the 1.5 hr drive in your opinion? because i would make the drive if there is.

thanks

I am very happy with the Ceramic tint. I don't know the difference between llumar and Ceramic so I can't help you there. I wouldn't think the difference would warrant a 1 1/2 hour drive thou.

thanks just made an appointment with them to have it installed.

when i mentioned 180 they told me they do it for 169... so guessing with tax OTD would be 180.

also be getting the 3m ceramic film for the tint as well.

appreciate your help !

I'm also in the market for tint on my 2010 RDX, but I don't want to break the bank. I see that Groupon seems to have some good deals in the area:

anyone had experience using the groupon deals for tint? some of the reviews on yelp or google seemed to say shops gave them a date longer out, and some said they cancelled on them last minute to reschedule.
