Called one Honda dealer and they said they can cut it but won't be able to program it. Although, the rep I spoke didn't seem to sure of what he was saying. Initially he told me they wouldn't even be able to cut it.. I did find a local locksmith that said he can cut and program for around $60. I ordered the blank, hopefully he will be able to program it successfully

This is the link to their website. Call the number listed. I would call for you but I don't think I would properly be able to explain to him what you're trying to do. Hope this helps.

Acura halting sales of push-button transmission TLX

LOL, so a better reason I'll just stick with my M/T!!

Acura halting sales of push-button transmission TLX

The "wacky-looking" pushbutton selector that made Jack Baruth sigh on the way to the racetrack is the subject of a stop-sale order and upcoming recall by Honda, Automotive News reports.

Even though the pushbutton shifter may indicate the vehicle is in "park," TLX models equipped with the 9-speed automatic may roll away as the parking lock fails to function and hold the vehicle. Honda will notify customers starting January 6th about the recall. Automotive News reports that the company is not aware of any accidents related to the issue—although since the company has been accused of underreporting crucial safety data to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about Takata airbags, the company's credibility about self-reported accident statistics is definitely in question.

Anyone here have a stage 2 or 3 exhaust (I think thats what they call it)? Its where the mid muffler is deleted and the stock resonator is replaced with either a dynomax or magnaflow resonator. If someone local has this setup I would love to hear it in person. I had the mid muffler removed today which did give it a nice low growl. I am debating whether or not to swap the OEM resonator. I want something slightly louder but not too loud.

If you get pcd's or even jpipe it will sound even better but if you get both you'll definitely need the resonator. ..

I'm so glad I didn't get rid of them when I bought the 20's. After having to deal with the insurance claim process the last few months it's a good thing I could just put the OEMs back on. I would recommend that to anybody thinking about get aftermarket wheels.

I don't want any red & definitely don't want to buy stock tails ...I was all about the full red (04-06) tails on my WDP & didn't want any other; but on this one they don't look good to me. ..Also some fellow A-ziners asked if I've got any tickets bcz you really couldn't see the turn signals but these new ones are bright...

Do any of you guys know of locksmiths around the area? My TL only came with one key. I called Gunn Acura and they quoted me $300+ for a new remote/key. I was thinking of buying one from OEMAcuraparts and then just having it programmed and cut by a local locksmith.

This guy said he can program the key and cut it for you if you are into the mod. I was going to buy the last one a while ago but he said the Keymaker messed up the last one. I didn't go back as I spent the money lol. I believe he quoted me 160 or 180 for everything.

And I lurk around here from time to time. Just recently got my ATLP Quad Exhaust and 07/08 Type S bumper installed on my 06. So now I'm running PCDS, RV-6 Long J Pipe, and ATLP quad. Loud as fuck is an understatement and love riding on the lower levels downtown and after downtown on I 10.

Also has anyone been to military on Sunday night? I went 2 Sundays ago and saw 3 TL's, one was an AM 6 Speed that burned me, a stock AM one, and another with like a lime green looking one?

Christmas came a little early for me. Got me some new wheels. It took 3 months, but who says persistence doesn't pay off. The contractor that tore up the road that caused my wheels to get all bent up finally caved and admitted liability. Went with CV7s. I know, I know, I know, need to go lower but I think I'm just going to wait until spring and slam it down again. Streets just too messed up during the short winter here.

New wheels today.

Thanks, but I was able to buy the remote from eBay for 40 and have a local locksmith program it for $70. $110 total sure beats the the $300+ Gunn wanted.

This happened today, I went to gunn to test drive a TLX. The rep was trying to show off the features saying the car will automatically go into park. Nope, rolled back and nearly plowed into a car behind us.

Any car shows going on in SA this weekend?

SA is great place to live. I'd say the only cons are traffic, road construction, and more road construction. H281 is a clusterfuck.

Most of San Antonio is pretty affordable living. The north side is very expensive the more north you go.

USAA is one of THE best companies to work for in the US. They will give vets hiring preference, as they also cater their service to veterans and active duty.

We have Six Flags and Sea World.

Are you going to join a reserve or Texas National Guard component when you get out? If so whats the MOS if you don't mind me asking? Also San Antonio is a great place to live that is very veteran friendly, hence the nickname Military City. The meet ups are nice too. Last meet up I went to, there was about 20 TLs/TSX's with a couple of CL's as well. It was at lake Travis.
