If the car was recalled they should do the repair regardless of weather or not it has to do with the noise.

Sounds like they are trying to dip in your pockets. As dsickles said, it should be done regardless free of charge.

if the recall was for a leak only, then they're not gonna wanna pay for the replacement of the pump. Now if the recall was for the noise and the pump going bad, then yeah they should.
