Hey guys! Just bought me a 07 TL after years of looking. Been on this forum many times but i thought id join now that im an ACURA owner, upgraded from an accord haha. Ill keep an eye out for any DFW meets or peeps. I could always use help with my up coming mods. I am a mechanic and have done plenty of custom work. Might need a little help.every now and again in the ACURA world!

Hey guys, long time member, new to DFW. I'm coming up on my 90K mile mart which means I gotta do the timing belt and water pump.

Any trusted dealers, "Honda/Acura mechanics" in the area? I have an '07 TL Type-S. Anything else I should have changed other than TB and WP?

I'm in the Mid-Cities area.

 

I am a Cadillac Mechanic. Timing belt isn't due till 105k/7yr on the TL. Im at 94k so im due soon. Im going to do mine myself. A bro of mine that i work with used to work for acura and said they are cake to do. Goodson acura quoted me $875, i was just curious. Ill do my own for that price. Im pretty sure i posted a reply for this question last night for you on another thread if im correct

 

I don't know how to adjust valves, or the timing. That kinda scares me. Nothing has been easy on this car with the exception of changing the starter. That was one of the easiest jobs I've ever done. Prob will let a pro tackle the timing belt service.
