Im going to houston on December 3rd for the Tri-City Meet...

and i was wondering does anyone know a good audio shop that fixes amp...i have two jl audio amps that i need them to look at...

Unless maybe there might be someone at the meet thats good at these stuff maybe?..

whats wrong with it

 

well my 450/4 for some reason it stopped working...it powers on and everything but its not producing audio...i checked my step down and my rca wires...its not those...

but the real problem is my JL audio 1000/1...everytime i try to power on it... the low voltage blue light blinks and it wont fully power up...im running 12volt to power up my amp using the add on fuse...at first it was working for about a month then it just stopped...

i've been having these amps for over 5 years...these amp ran fine for the passed 5 years till now...

and i had a jl audio 12w7 also...the voice coil blew out on it too...after owning for 5 years also...

do u want me to bring the amps to the meet so u can see whats wrong with it?...

Well I had that problem with my jl 1000 too but a friend of mine fixed it I forgot what he did... But I'm no audio freak enough to fix amps hahah go to Houston car stereo or something like that on hilcroft and west park. They might have a refurb in store you can trade them and pay them the fixing cost...

 

Yea you're right... I had a friend work there and they super tax on the equipment...

 

Also, u can talk to member chtrcy. He is from Austin, and will be at the meet. He owns a stereo shop too

i think the best thing JL ever created are their AMPS....

subs are good but not the best out there in the market...

i wish JL would come out with some better components...

Hahaha yea no lie jl is nice but for that kinda of money you can buy much better amps and speakers... No lie jl will always have a place in my heart. But time to move on to better things for the money... Sad to say... :/
