I normally get up around 6-8. Just depends on how late I stay out the night before.

Cool, so she got that one. That is good to hear. Not sure why they do that down here. I guess we just have to be different than everyone else!

If the thought is to have an evening meet next Tues 10/18. Maybe a "neutral" place like HEB or Irving so FW and Dallas can both have a mid range drive.

Are any of the Addison/Plano folks still interested in Wed lunch? Maybe it is a smaller group of those of us in the proximate area to Addison/Plano.

As the realtive newbie here, if one of the vets to this group has a better feel for what works, please throw an idea out, so we can rally everyone around.

Thanks,

Looking forward to meeting many of you.

Ya know, I never had a ton of brake dust -- and if I did it was just very early. I don't notice much (if any) more than the stockers dusted off.

Hope it gets better!

I can still probably do lunch. As far as in the evening, it will really just depend on what time and if I have my car or not. I carpool with my cousin to work, so if I have my car on the day we all meet and he doesn't mind going then it won't be an issue. If he doesn't want to go, then I will have to take him home first.

OK,
Julio's for lunch. How about anyone else? I can make the reservation. Just chime in if you want to join next Wed 11am at Julio's on Tollway.

I will put up a first pass at a time and place 10/19 Wed 11am at uncle Julios on the Tollway at Keller Springs.

Anyone?
That place rocks, haven't been there in a while... The Snookies grill behind Uncle Julios is really good too, if we get a normal GTG going, it is in the same parking lot...

Yeah, the Z is a pretty sweet ride. When are you looking to buy one? This is one of the many cars I'm looking at too...I just can't do wrong wheel drive anymore.

New is overrated. Only get new if it is a special, limited edition car, or you are leasing it.

Always buy used and let someone else take the biggest depreciation hit! This is how I am able to switch out of cars so easily.

I don't trust previous owners...depends on the brand of the car but with sportscars and stuff, its obvious that people will rag them out.

Yeah, but that is why I only buy certified pre-owned or something that still has the original warranty. I know that I am going to rag on a car, so what is the difference if someone else did it before me? Again, as long as there is a warranty, I am not really concerned.

Granted, I will only buy a used car if it is damn near perfect, that way, I know that the previous owner took care of it.

I disagree. I loved the fact that my car had 11 miles on it when I got it. I cant handle getting used. You have no idea how hard that car has been drivin. Its a gamble IMO. Hmmmm......new car smell............

i am agreeing with G-Money... i haven't bought a new car yet... all certified... i mean cars are meant to be driven, even if they are being driven hard... as long as it is certified and the warranty is still good.. just get rid of it when the warranty is up or thouroughly inspect the vehicle before you buy it... financially u just take such a huge hit with a new car...

and dude new car smell is not necessarily good for you... its actually bad for you...

no no, wait a year and then buy one that someone drove the piss out of.

Im not saying that a used car isnt worth gettting. There are alot of good deals out there. Im just saying that when you're going to be spending some serious coin IMO I feel more comfortable getting new. I never had any intention in getting a used TL. Shit I know I lost about 6K as soon as I drove it off the lot. I put 12K down so Im somewhat okay with the hit.
