Also, on the Thermo mod front, no word from Astroboy . . . if I don't hear from him by the end of next week I say we move on and go with it.

Not for me, personally. I'm still miffed over the handling of the tranny problem. :angryfire

Matter of fact I've lookend in to trading it in, but the resale/trade in value is not good enough.

I wouldn't be surprised if the tranny problem along with other build/design quality issues have resulted in this problem.

I'm a little pissed off about the whole tranny issue. It has me not wanting an Acura for a while. They don't have a car (in my $$$ range) that I want right now anyway.

Hmmmm. If Acura comes out with a TL Coupe with 300 horsies and AWD, then I will be one of the first to get one in a manual. Other than that, I don't think that I will be spending all that much time in an Acura stearlship.

Inferno HAD that and being a newer member, compared to me, this was not right besides, and even tho he has a TLS, he got an STi and spends his $$ on it . . . it's not right that he was number 2

And lastly, since we've lost Danny, Casper, Hanzi and Bluesman our posting rate has slowed . . . . someone has to pick up the slack to keep Sactown from closing the gap . . .

No date yet . . . it's not going to be real soon, so maybe a track meet this coming month.

It'll take us a couple of weeks to get the order in . . . assuming the GB works out and then schedule an install.

There is one possible issue with the thermoblock . . . some folks are claiming that the cars are losing coolant and oil . . . no one has an answer as to why that is. And while some think "just check it and add when needed", I'm an old mechanic and that's not the right approach. If this is really happening we need to know why. Where is being lost . . . how? Depending on that it may be ok, but fluid loss of any kind is a serious issue as it could lead to other problems that can effect both long term wear and performance . . . 10hp is not enough to risk this.

I don't have a plate for it yet, so I just toyed around the neighborhood. I had the top off and was enjoying the torque quite a bit, regardless.

Actually, it sat out on a truck going thru rain and storms for most of it's journey, so it was absolutely filthy. The dirt and grime on the front of the car was unbelievable -- it was really caked on. I could hardly see thru the windshield. So, I gave it a nice long bath, and all was good again.

The underside of the car, the wheel wells, etc. were spotless. The soap sponge hardly picked up any dirt at all wiping under there. I don't think it ever saw bad weather. So, yeah, I think the guy was straight-up about how well he maintained it. It's truly in like-new condition.
