K so 30% chance of storms from 6am on... Anyone going? Also, will anyone else with all the exotics etc even show up knowing there is a chance for rain etc?

I need to know if I should take it easy on the beer tonight or go ahead and get drunk.

I'm going. The chance of rain is mainly in the afternoon, so I think it will be ok. I checked on Ferrari chat and they said it is still a go. So if Ferrari's are taking a chance, I'd say some other owners would take it too. And remember the meeting place: 7:45 A.M. at Starbucks on the corner of Parker Rd. and Dallas Tollway/Pkwy.

The TL is ready for waxing tomorrow. Washed it today...it was perfect...not sunny, good temperature and not a single drop.

I won't be making it to Starbucks today. Gotta go into Arlington soon and work on the list of stuff my parents have created that needs to be done to their house.

Sadly, yes. 6PM to close. Wish I had read your post earlier, though. Would have called in.

Saw a 3G AM TL with black Katana KR12 wheels, cleared headlights, A-Spec kit, and kind of looked like it was lowered. Saw it in the parking garage at the North East Mall yesterday. Since it had quite a few mods to it I imagined the person would be on azine. Any takers?

I saw Shaun and I think his brother at C&C

A decent turnout with few new cars I've not see before or at least I don't remember them. They changed up the parking for spectators and moved them over to the office buildings right beside the dealership. They also added some more warning signs for burnouts and such, but the funniest one was "Don't be the Next YouTube Video" Well as I was getting ready to turn into the parking lot a Shelby Mustang pulls out . . smokes the tires a bit and well . . . dang I don't know what happened . . next thing you know my car just takes off after it . . like a dog after a rabbit We got up to 90 before I let up and it was a close run . . surprised me as the Shelby should have pulled me even with a bad driver, but who knows they're around a 1sec or so faster . . either way he had to be thinking WHAT THE HELL. Maybe they'll give us Acura guys a bit more respect.

Now I just need to wait a few more weeks for school to get out as I'll need a few days of down time for the all mods and updates.

. . . don't forget GTOs.

Yeah, figured it was early and they wouldn't be out yet, but I was wrong. It was a close call . . went flying right past one a couple of turn-ins past the dealership. What was even crazier is that when I let off I hit the brakes hard to catch the next turn-in and doubled back through the parking lot . . well well . . there they sat . . . idled quietly past him and he never looked at me . . . must have had the Shelby on his mind . . it did make more noise and looked way faster than mine.

I'll be scouting them a bit more closely before I pull a stunt like that again.

Some more Mustang fun . . this one a 2010 Mustang GT manual. I know the guy pretty good and he's seasoned drag racer so this time there is no excuse in that maybe the guy couldn't drive. So what was the outcome? Well from a 30mph start he got the jump, but it didn't matter at the TL stuck right with him all the way through 2nd gear. The car rags have the manual running 13.6 sec in the 1/4 mile at 104mph. This is interesting as I was thinking might have a shot to hit high 13s, and on top of it . . . my car still isn't running right, so once it's fixed and if I can get some traction off the line . . . I can't wait to get to the track and see what kind of numbers I can lay down. 13s??

Had a tint question for you guys. Have any of you tried the ceramic tint films? The three main ones I know of are Wincos by Madico, Pinnacle formula one and Huper Optik. I hear the heat and UV blockage is amazing.

I have it on the Lotus....it will blow your mind how good it is.....

You literally feel a difference in the heat once you shut the doors.

Im considering having my tint taken off the TL and having this put on.....once I have the money

I've got the Formula One, had it installed in 2001 so not sure if it's the latest and greatest. Interior and dash are good, so I'm assuming UV is good. As for the heat, you can really feel the difference when the window is up verses down, but hot is still hot when sitting in the sun all day. Of course I have a black interior and that's a factor as well.

It's definitely possible with the right setup. A fellow member supposedly ran a 13.68 @ 102 on a base 3G with CAI, PCD & further exhaust restriction reduction. His 60' was 2.05.. He also ran wet and trapped 12.8 @ 113 with a 60' of 1.995.

So with the right wheels, rubber and prep.. I think you might be able to breach the 14 second wall. I wouldn't feel so bad if you didn't though, especially in this weather. Here's the guys run even though I'm sure you've seen it before.

Im really not knocking it. Its just funny to me. When I bought mine I never thought of doing anything like that....its just me.

what Id rather watch is Mark smoke car after car after car and have someone film their reactions at the other end.
