Cupcake meet 13 is this Sat 4/21 at Crossroads Mall.Everyone should come lots of people going to be there from Texas, Kansas, and all around the metro. This is supposed to be a huge car meet. Yep, can't make it. Taken enough Saturdays off work & just managed to get May 3-5 off for my niece's graduation which comes before anything else.

I was searching through the old post on here for tint shops. I was quoted 300 for removal and tint @ tritek....seems to be a good price seeing as how removal cost 100 more. What do you guys think?

Okay, this is one for the Believe it or Not files. My trunk won't stay closed.

The open/release mechanism is working fine. After removing the latch assembly I checked all the functions. They all work fine except the catch mechanism. It closes fine, but the slightest pressure will release it. So the result is that when you push the trunk lid down and hold it, I can feel it catch. But as I start to let up on pressure (to hold the trunk lid down) it will release before I completely let off.

Some there must be something within the catch mechanism that is "weak" or something, and it can't hold it in a closed position.

Note, this has nothing to do with the electronics or otherwise. I've tried all the function with it off and disconnected. I manually place it in the closed position, and then I insert a screw driver and start to apply pressure simulating a force to pull it down and pop, it doesn't take much force to cause it to release.

Since there's nothing I can see that can be replaced, I'm assuming a replacement of the latch assembly is the only option.

Yes, one of the weirdest problem I've encountered to date.

Anyone here from the DFW area that can recommend a shop to do a tranny swap for me? I'm going the route of either the Odyssey or Accord swap. Everyone I've called to ask for an estimate pisses their pants when I say the trans isn't from the same car. Thanks guys!

That would help out the driving for the people out in ft worth arlington. Around the lake sounds good but its getting hot so depending on people. I do like burritos locos out there which is a good mexican place. Parking is a bit tight but the food there is worth it. That could be a place to meet up. Its been a while since I have hung around the Grapevine area so having people chime in would be great.
