Hey guys, I just recently reinstalled windows xp with sp2. the problem i have now is that there is no applet for bluetooth at all. In control panel, there is no mentioning of bluetooth nor is there anywhere else on my computer. I need bluetooth to isntall my intelliMouse and keyboard set. I have no idea why bluetooth isnt there.

You probably need a driver from either your PC manufacturer or whoever made the blue tooth adapter.

Sounds like a driver issue.

Install the software that came with your mouse and keyboard set. That will install the bluetooth onto your computer.

thanks for the help but i dont think its a problem with the drivers.

my keyboard is microsoft which means the bluetooth stack should already have drivers for it. The thing that I noticed was wierd was that I originally had a Bluetooth Configuration (or something like that) in my control panel where I could do all the settings for bluetooth devices such as turning on and off discovery, linking together stuff and other things. After a clean install of windows xp with service pack 2, i seem to be missing that bluetooth feature.

I dont have a great understanding of bluetooth itself but shouldnt it come with the service pack installed? I tried searching everywhere and not one place has an answer or lead that solves my problem. I think i will just reformat again.

EDIT: the software that came with mykeyboard and mouse comes with it and ive installed everything. my transciever isnt being recognized by the usb. that is the main problem. i had this problme back when i was using sp 1
