Who uses speakerphone

I love using it, and I always pisses people off when I do. But it's all good.

Almost everyone that has their own office uses the speakerphone, including me.

I FUKIN hate speakerphone.
One of these days I’m gonna put a screwdriver through the speaker of the guy in the cube near me.

It’s funny though. Whenever he gets real annoying, everybody in my area starts talking over the walls REAL LOUD so it gets picked up on his mike.
Plus you have the inevitable HUH, WHAT, OK comments from others every ten seconds.

I usually just put on the headphones and crank up an AC/DC disc if it gets too bad.

I would never use speakerphone in a cube, that's not right.

I use it sometimes. Really only when I need to. I really hate those SOB's that have it at home & just use it all the time cause they think it's cool. I hate that!

I got one of those bluetooth headsets too, but I much rather just blast the speakerphone.

yeah but if you are in tech support, wouldn't someone (if they didn't havea headphone set) sort of need to use both hands to like do whatever it is you are telling to do. I.E. computer problem, they need to type shit out and do different things.

I HATE that! I work in a specific building in the IT dept at school. We keep new inventory there (computers, etc) and also keep the gear for this multi-million dollar A/V project (ever room is getting this slick podium w/ computer, etc and a projector). The project manager had a cubicle on the far side, at the front. I work in an office in the middle. Even with the damn door shut I can hear her yakkin away on the damn speakerphone. It pisses me off SOOOOO bad! I'm with Shawn, I'm thinking of ways to can the speaker. Ima open it up, and just toast it super quick with some voltage. What makes me the maddest is the fact that EVERY damn time she comes in she has to check her voicemail on SPEAKERPHONE!!! She also makes all her calls to companies on SPEAKERPHONE!!! I have heard sooo many times where people can't tell if she's still there, they can't understand her, etc! If I ever own a company that deals with orders on the phone like that - big letters in the catolog - NO SPEAKERPHONE! Bastards. I starting using it now just to piss that other lady off hehe. "Yea, do you have the Gator keys? Thanks." -all the time, volume all the way up hehe.

I love it even though I know it pisses everybody off. I guess I'm a selfish asshole but it sure makes it easier for me to multi-multi-task in the office and I hate headsets.
