Who else has a wireless keyboard and mouse?

I just got my first one, one month ago almost to the day. So far, I have been pleasantly suprised as to how far the batteries last. 2, AA cells required per peripheral. And as a general rule of thumb, I am on the "pweter" around three hours a day.

I really like having the cordless devices.

How long do your batteries last, and when they start to go, what are the synptoms?

I've been using this combo for a couple of months and it's pretty good. I do keep a USB mouse handy, though, just in case if forget to charge the mouse.

I got mine six months ago. I have never replaced the batteries in the keyboard yet and I use it every day. I have replaced the batteries in the mouse once but I use rechargeables in the mouse-don't last as long.

as turbobumblbee pointed out, if the mouse is running low, there's a red light that blinks right below the middle scroller. but if you ignored it, like i did a couple of times, just charge the mouse up for about 10-15 minutes and you should be able to use it for another 30-45 minutes. if not just replace the battery and recharge the original ones when you're done w/ what you have to do.

from what i heard the mx duo's keyboard goes to a sleep mode if not in use. that's why the battery last a while.

my gf has the microsoft combo one that's for $80. also a nice set up. almost a year and still no changing the batteries. no charger for the mouse though and i like my mouse's shape on the logitech better.

these things come a long way. i remember buying one of the first wireless combos 3-4 years ago and battery life sucked. only lasted for 7 weeks and have to replace them. plus they didn't use RF signal so you can put your hand in front of the receiver and it doesn't work anymore.

for those looking, go with logitech with microsoft as a second choice. also if there's no budget get the laser mouse

Get a logitech MX1000 wireles mouse, and a logitech wireless keyb.

However if your a hardcore FPS gamer stay away from the wireless stuff.

b.t.w. the "laser" mx1000 is NOT equal to a wired mouse... if you want the best mouse goto www.razerzone.com

Two sets - one on my computer and one on the kids' machine, both Microsoft. I'm very pleased with battery life and responsiveness.

I have the Logitech MX Duo as well, I have never had to change the batteries in the keyboard nor the mouse (well it has rechargable batteries so I never will) I also have the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and mouse for my Mac and have never had to change the batteries in those either, I have used them for the past 6 months.
