What Mouse are You Using?

I got a new mouse a month or so ago, a Logitech MX 610 Laser cordless. This thing tracks everywhere and pauses if I don't keep it moving (sucks when playing a game). I have a light faux woodgrain desk. I had a Logitech G7 Laser cordless but the batteries are failing, it's the one that has two square rechargeable batteries, but it never had problems tracking like the new one.

I've got to get a new one, thankfully it only cost $25 after rebate. I've never owned anything but Logitech, other than what came with a new computer.

try moving the mouse over a bright white sheet of paper and see if it works better....some mice don't work well on anything other than a bright reflective surface.

^^^ That's what I'm trying to stay away from, I have a 20" w/s monitor set to the highest resolution. So I'm moving the mouse quite a bit.

I've had this desk for 10 yrs, this is the only mouse that has given me trouble since I switched over to cordless optical or laser mice.

Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 with cord
It isn't that great. It's too light and the scroll wheel is funky
BUT
In general corded > cordless for me.

Logitech MX 518 - perfect for games - has the buttons exactly how I want them and I love the shape. It goes perfect with my G15 keyboard .

MX510, love this mouse, even though it's cord, it's really precise and great for gaming.

Logitech Mouseman Traveller ... brushed aluminum-esque look ... wheel in the middle. Works for PC and Mac ... been using this ever since I bought my first laptop (Dell Inspiron 640m) Still works so I won't change it.

Otherwise, I have a Microsoft wireless notebook optical mouse as my backup.

I just ordered a logitech V270 like 10 minutes ago. It got decent ratings and $10 MIR on amazon right now, making it like $27 shipped to Hawaii. Free shipping is always a big plus trying to get stuff here. Hopefully it works alright.

I've gone the past 5 months without a mouse at all.

Back to my old corded Microsoft intellimouse for the past couple of months since my cordless punked out on me. I don't remember which model the cordless one was, but I really liked it until died. It's too bad mice just don't live as long as us humans.

Ditto. I've been using it with my couch as my surface, and sometimes, the carpet. No problems, even playing CS!

k no. The one gripe about this mouse is that it doesn't have the Forward button like the mx518 does.

Thanks for the information, I guess I'm staying with Logitech. I ordered a MX Revolution. There's a $20 rebate on it until Monday.

I have the Logitech V450, I'm pretty happy with it other than on ocassion, the movement gets a bit choppy for no reason at all. I'm using it on a solid colored mouse pad (blue).

The one I'm having problems with, I got from amazon.com with a $20 rebate, received with no problems.
