My freind got Windows XP upgrade, and installed it on his pc. Then he installed it on his 2nd pc, and tried to register it, and of coarse it said it was already register.
Now his 2nd pc says he has so many days to register it.
What happens after the 30 days ? Will he just not be able to get updates for it ?

doesn't it just stop working altogether and only let you register?

 

I think it will stick on the reg screen. It reads the serial number of the processor. This is what everyone is up-in-arms about.

 

I'll forward you a link that has the registry change to set the registration as completed. Should get rid of the problem.
