this is crazy. i just wanted to voice my point of view in an unbiased medium.... ya'll know why....

vodafone wants to buy at&t wireless. to finance the deal, they must sell off their 45% stake in verizon wireless (~$20Bil). verizon wireless may apparantly stiff vodafone with a low-ball price to prevent this from happening. vodafone then may threaten to buy out verizon communications (landline), who has a 55% stake in verizon wireless, for about $125-150Bil initiating a hostile takeover. that would mean FOREIGN vodafone owns verizon communications and verizon wireless. scary.

however, if verizon communications buys vodafones stake, it means that verizon comm has 100% control over verizon wireless, which is scary from my perspective since verizon comm is union-tangled, lay-off prone, etc.... OR expands CDMA immensely, which means more revenue...

OR... if cingular buys at&t wireless... they become the largest wireless provider with 100mil more customers than verizon wireless.... however, still running on shitty GSM networks....

i say just let DoCoMo buyout at&t wireless... that way they'd fall within 3 years... unless there's a portion of THAT equation that i'm missing....

not that i have a say in any of this or anything, but this is just a crazy predicament and market stimulation we're looking at here....
