which verizon phone should i get?

- samsung a970
- the v
- samsung sch-a930
- moto q

i've heard bad and good things about the Q, the V seems like it might get old after a while. i'm a big fan of the a970 and all the features as well as the 930's design and features.

What about the Samsung a990 that was just released? That's what I want but I'm stuck with my shitty RAZR which I have had nothing but problems with.

oh yeah, i just saw that, but i dont know if i like the look of it all that much...it's too razor-ish. plus id rather not spend a buttload of money on a phone. i think i'm leaning towards "the v". it looks great and has great features. but i'm not sure if i'll utilize all the features. guess i'll have to take a look at the verizon store. any idea if they'll let you get your upgrade 2 weeks before the actual date?

I just picked up the Q today and so far I love it. It is a phone first and works very well as one and then has the features of a PDA second. I picked up the unlimited data plan with it too and surfing the web is easy with it too. I am actually posting this with it.

I just got it and startred playing with it. All I can say is, FINGERPRINTS!!!!!! The dam thing is filthy already. It looks just like an Ipod Nano. I haven't gotten too much into the features yet. the camera takes pretty nice shots also. The touch-sensitive buttons are cool, same thing like an ipod also, jut run your finger along the wheel or the buttons. The keypad is small, so texting will be a bitch. I need to get a case for this thing pronto. If you just need a small phone with simple features, i'd say go for it.

I have had the V since January and I love it, I dont use all of the features but I got it because I liked the look of it and the fact that it has a keyboard. I was a fan of those old nokia non flip phones, plus I figured out how to use Bitpim to sync the phone to make ringtones and transfer pics and stuff like that, so im happy

My Mom just bought the 8300 and its also a very nice phone, havent really had the cahnce to mess around with it but so far so good. I went on Consumer reports (which I usually do for most purchases) and they seem to always so good things about LG so either way you cant go wrong.

How much a month are you paying for it?

Im due for a phone upgrade in Feb. I may want to go the PDA/cell route this time.

You can't edit Microsoft office doc's with the "Q". You can only read them.
Phone wise The "Q" is the best from what I've read.

The Treo lets you read and edit Offices doc's. I don't know about it phone wise.

I've been looking into both and I guess you have to decide what's more important a PDA/Pocket PC or a phone.

I just got the LG 8300. So far, I think it's great, but I've only had it a few days. Much better battery life than the RAZR, better speaker, and I drop the damn things all the time and this is my 3rd LG and the clam shell is great -- never breaks!
