Ok i went to verizon and apparently (as mikey would know) they stopped shipping the a530 with the 2nd batt so i didn't want it (cause i couldn't justify the price). after rebates the camera lg was only $10 more then the non camera lg, so i got the lg 6000.
Mikey, any idea how long i should have to carry around my old phone w/ me for going from tmobile>>verizon?

I got my LG6000 a week ago and after calling tech support a dozen times they finally figured out that the reason ive had so many problems is that people that port their number over to verizon need to go to a location that has a tech so that they can upgrade the firmware in the phone. What a pain in my ass. Verizon sucks I wish I would have never left sprint.

the LG6000's previous software had a glitch in it that did not allow certain phone features to work properly due to LNP.
...which is why newer software had to be flashed into the phone. my guess is u got a phone with the older software....
for some strange reason, that was the only phone with an LNP problem....
