V10 Bluetooth issues...

Well, I've been loving my v710, but when I tried to sync it with my comp using mobile phone tools, I started getting some comm errors...etc. After a couple hrs of trouble shooting, I decided to email motorola and send them the error codes I was getting. They promptly emailed me back and regretted to inform me that the V710 won't sync via bluetooth!?!!?! Only Serial/USB.....what kind of crap is that???

Also, I can't get my V710 to pair with any other bluetooth phone.... And when I do get it to pair with my computer, I only have 2 BT services available. I think they're speakerphone and some remote dialup BS....

So, not only will the phone not sync, but I can't even transfer images and MP3's via bluetooth on this damn thing.....

Looks like Motorola really decreased functionality of the BT on this phone so that they could press you into buying a transflash card.....

Bullshit.

They lock the shit ouf of the phones so you can use their multimedia service and be charged PREMIUM.

My V400 was the same; I eventually cracked it.

Check howardforums.com.

Motorola didn't lock anything.

Verizon locked it up.

Motorola builds phones to the exact specification required by Verizon (re: v710).

When I launched the SonyEricsson T608 last year, I made sure most if not all of the BT functionality was there. Just like it will be on the next BT phone.
