Thoughts on Samsung I900 Omnia or Xperia?
Im in the market for a new phone and was looking at a few pda phones. Kinda stranded between the Sony Xperia and the Samsung I900. Has anyone had experience with these two phones? I heard mix reviews with them, but I would like to hear more opinions from members on this forum.

I played with the Omnia in the Verizon store for a little while. It was pretty cool. The interface was pretty neat in that you could slide out applets from the menu bar onto the main window.
The mouse pointer thing was pretty cool too. Not sure what I would use it for, but cool I guess.
The phone also has an accellerometer built in too. Pretty cool to move from Portrait to Landscape by just tilting the phone (a la iPhone).
The phone has no keyboard however, and to me, that is a big minus.
I have not tried out the Xperia at all.
I would recommend just going down to your wireless store and playing with the phones for awhile.

I got the sony Xperia phone, my first pda/smartphone. I think it is great, the keyboard for easy text, Lots of people complain about windows mobile 3.1 being weird or something but i think its great.
I think sonystyle stores might carry them but i am not sure. The phone uses sim cards. So it goes well with att and T-mobile. Good luck

I really like my Omnia (i910 from Verizon). It's relatively fast, and pretty compact and light without being too small. The Samsung Today app is fine. I want to add more widgets but Samsung doesn't have any more. I've installed SPB Mobile Shell along with a skin package from ChangeSkin and it's where I wanna be. The optical mouse is good but I don't use it very much, if at all. The Samsung keyboard is okay, though I prefer, and do use, the SPB keyboard. So far, it's been a pretty good to great phone.
