stupidest phone thing i've seen so far...(rant)

in a club, where you can barley hear the person next to you, a guy walks past me with his bluetooth headset on...now if that is not the stupidest thing ever...

they should have rules when you should be able to wear your headset,

obviously car, office (if your doing something and need both hands), i wear mine around the store ( 1. to demo it, 2. i usually leave my phone on my desk)

But in a CLUB??

I also noticed...a bunch of thugs where there phone on there hip like its a gun....

1. its not a gun no one cares about your cell phone on your hip
2. your not wearing a suit or anything nice...so stick to your phone in your pocket or put your shirt over it..(alot of people tuck there shirt in right where there cell phone is on there hip so that everyone can see it)
3. your phone is nothing special...especially since a good few million other people have the same model...

end of rant..

I know I'll probably offend someone, but personally I can't stand people using those things (other than driving), ever notice how guys that use'em just think they're so cool... but yet, everyone that's near'em always have to do a double take cause they think he's either talkin' to them or to himself...

I love my bluetooth, but only have it on when I am using the phone for longer than a few seconds, or when driving.

Since I have a Razr, and hate the earbud headsets, its the only option I have, but I like it 100x better than the corded ones. Being wireless is

If anyone is looking for one, I highly recommend the Cardo Scala 500. It can be found for less than $45, and after personally testing ones from Motorola, and Nokia, I found it had the best sound for me and the person on the other end at half the price of other ones.

Phones are becoming a [returning] fashion statement here in the US. Since everyone seems to have a cellphone, it's time to make YOUR cellphone different than everyone else's phone. For next year, that's the plan. Individuality. Lights. Color. Cool. Show off. Coming to America. Already in Japan and Asia. It's already starting back here with the bling bling and the BT headsets (you wear them whether you are currently talking or not). Personalized ringers are tired. It's all about the visual.

Agreed. Yeah...Personally, I don't think anyone is that important that they cannot wait 3 minutes to get where they're going to chat. Not once have I heard a dire business or life-threatening emergency being discussed by these norons...it's like the new 'yuppie' fad...like the 80's and pink shirts all over again.

Kills me when they have to talk in the fuckin grocery line/checkout...

I just went back and ready you said "phone thing." So to add to that it seems like since everyone has a phone, you have to find accessories that make your phone stand out, different than all the others. The BT headset seems to be the best way right now. Not only it is still a bit pricey? but not all phones use it. Plus the lights can be cool. Personally I'm over the whole phone thing, came and went.

Try dealing with customers who are more engrossed in their conversation than buying something. At the store I work at, a few people always come in on the phone, and never get off, even when they are picking their stuff up, even if I need to ask them a question, or they are having problmes. The worst is when they come in and ask YOU a question, and you try and help them, then they get annoyed your interrupting their chat. Well fuck you too.

Sorry, end rant.

I have little confidence in society in general based on the cell phone conversations I typically overhear. I think people are really needy. You can talk on the phone whenever now, sure, but is there really anything worthwhile to talk about? God forbid a person should be left to suffer silence or solitude for 3 straight minutes. Don't even get me started on TVs at workout facilities.

Anyhow, a rather amusing Onion article goes pretty well with the thread subject:

Vehement Anti-Cell-Phone Guy Finally Caves

...it's funny that you said that... just the other night, I was at the market kinda late, and only one register was open... I was next in line, a cute girl got behind me... then this guy with his wireless ear piece... it just seem like he started talking louder and louder about how many "deals he closed." It was so obvious he was trying to impress the cute girl... I turned around to take a look at the idiot... but instead that girl and I looked at each other and just rolled our eyes then we both chuckle a little... I think the guy saw, and got the hint... what a fool...

on another note... notice that people that talk "so loud" about how much money they make usually just bullshit a lot? in my line of work... I come across some very (very) wealthy people... and they are the ones that usually don't talk much about how much they make... sometimes they NEVER talk about money...
