710 Also has 800 band while 700 has 900, since Cingular uses 800 bands, T-Mobile is soon gonna start supporting 800/850 Bands, almost 15 New phones in the lineup this year, its gonna be big competition

So that liloj doesn't get confused...the 800 band is known as 850. Other than that...edge/radio like he said earlier. I have an S700i...love it. Don't need 850 mhz cause I get good reception already

I've read that all of the s710a's are like that. I've been seriously considering leaving Verizon and getting this phone. I've played with it a few times at the store and loved the screen and camera. I've never had a Sony Ericsson (or just Ericsson) phone before, so I was having a hard time navigating the menus. If you'd like to check out a really cool cell phone site, go to www.howardforums.com They have anything you'd ever need to know there!

I hate slow menus, are they really slow, thats one thing I hate about Sony Ericsson's there menus are slow or take a while for the phone to turn on, and stuff like that, My SE right now does this, but I like the easiness of the menu's, but I hope the S710 is not extra slow

Actually, I've read that the phone powers on/off rather quickly. Also, the camera is supposed to be able take another pic after only 3 seconds...pretty fast!

On my S700i, my menus are very smooth now. Not all SE phones are slow in the phone's OS and whoever says that is just a plain novice. On some models, you do have to be patient though. I remember the first firmware revisions of the K700i and S700i were slow as mud.
