it is ranked one of the highest performing phones out of cing. arsenal. they also sell the worst phone the 237. the z500 has a lot of features at a cheap price, it is supposed to be the best with siganl out of all the cing phones.

every once in a while the screen will go white and you have to take the battery off and reinstall and then turn it back on, and the prob is fixed.

typically SE has always had the shittiest phones in terms of reliability, but thsi one isnt bad at all

I love Sony Ericsson. I used Nokia for the longest time and tried to use one a couple weeks ago...I just couldn't do it... For some reason I think Nokia put a bunch of broken vocoders in their phones. I could never make a call when signal hit 50% with a nokia...but with SE, no problem mon. Chopper, if you show up at the next meet at trancemission's place, I'll show you an SE that'll blow you away.

BTW, the Z500a is a sweet phone! And for whoever was dogging Cingular service earlier...do some research cause T-Mobile isn't the best in a lot of spots like East coast and parts of California.

Yeah this is my frist ever SE. Finally on the GSM network and works amazingly well at my house, which I always had about 1/4 signal strength with the Digital network, but now I am at > or = half signal strength.

Only complaint, no belt clips for it yet (or at least not at the Cingular store).

There's all sorts of tricks to get your phone to get more signal strength...I know one trick but it'll cut your battery life down to about 3-4 hours if you want that. As for the belt clip...I actually haven't seen any, you might even want to check eBay for a generic belt clip.

On another note, ready for a bbq @ trancemissions?

damnit! That's right b then a .

Yes, seriously...This is the only technical side of phones I have no idea about. All I know is that my parents had 2 problem phones (nokia 8290 and 3390) back in the day. There is a way to increase the amount of power used by the phone to retreive RF...it's been awhile since I get awesome coverage now. It really shoots the battery down though.
