should i go verizon?
should i go verizon?
I'm currently on SprintPCS right now. My plan includes: 500 anytime minutes, no roaming across the US, first incoming min. free, 3650 night/weekend minutes(basically unlimited). I'm pretty happy with Sprint's service, but sometimes I'll have trouble calling, and get some dropped calls...other than that I'm satisfied. But the main thing that's bothering me is that they charge about 8 dollars or so in "taxes/fees". How can they get away with charging almost 25% of what the plan costs? So I was thinking about switching to Verizon. The thing with Verizon is this: they require 1 or 2 year contracts, their promotions on phones and/or incentive for new customers is almost non-existent, and they offer less anytime minutes for the same cost. Anyway, if I sign a one-year, on top of paying pretty much full price for a phone, I have to pay an activation fee of like $35. Their comparable plan I'd like to go with is 39.99/month, 400 anytime, unlimited nights/weekends, free in-network calls, no roaming across the U.S. BUT, their phones are pretty weak, and I'll have to pay 3 extra dollars/month for text messages. If I sign up for a 2-year, then they waive the activation fee, and I get the phone for like 100 dollars less. (phone btw is the Samsung SCH-a530s) For those of you that are with Verizon, are you guys getting the same deals or better, and what do you suggest??
