It's $200 on the verizonwireless website if you go with 2yr agreement. $250 for a 1yr.

My mom almost killed the lady at the store today cause she wouldnt give her an upgrade on her phone that she's had since 6/2004. I swear Verizion comes up with new and exciting ways to dick people over every day.

They try to make it seem like they are losing money on it or something and then I just think "Well T-mobile gives you a free Razr when you sign for a year so how much are they actually losing?" They had he so pissed that she was going to do early termination but sadly we have 3 phones so it would have been $525.

well if you signed a 2yr contract in 6/2004 that would make you eligible for the upgrade 3/2006.. 21 months into the contract. VZW is very strict about policy.

I probably would switch to Sprint if Verizon didn't own my soul.

We tried bitching about all of their policy changes but there is no way they will let us out of the contract without getting their $525

To me thats retarded. New phones come out all the time, do people really go out and spend $400 on a new phone every couple of months?

The thing that pisses me off the most about VZW is that we have been customers for a long time with 4 lines (until my bro recently took over his own account) and they dont give any leeway and their customer service people have NO clue what they are talking about. We talked to 6 people yesterday in store and on the phone and everyone gave a different answer

The whole phone is crippled if you ask me. I don't know why Verizon always takes a perfectly good phone and messes with it.

Verizon will always cripple the data BT capabilities because they are a broadband provider

edit: sorry if that was

The reason there is an upgrade policy of 22 months is because any wireless company you go to drops the price of the phone with there commision/ how long your going to be with them...if they give you more then 1 phone at a discounted rate within a ceartin amount of time then they end up losing money...

now you say to yourself how much can they be losing by giving you a discounted phone...well the answer is not much...but if you tell a friend who tells a friend..(and believe me word travels fast when you go the extra mile for a customer..) then the company ends up losing....

and you have 3 or 4 lines with vzw and i am sure the company apperciates your business...but what about all the people who have 7 lines or the companies that have 1500+ lines... and dont get early upgrades....

and plenty of peopel come in all day long and are willing to pay 400+ dollars for a phone just because they know they are not eligible and if they want a phone that bad then pay for it...?? before I worked for the company i used to pay full retail all the time...

I can understand all of that but it still is ridiculous to me. Verizon tries to make it out like they are savin you all this money and they aren't. Their ever changing policys are stupid and only benefit them in making money, which isnt a horrilbe thing but I expect better customer service.

Like I said, we were literally told so many diiferent things, no one seems to know what they are talking about. I have a better example, over the summer my phone got water logged so I needed to switch my number to an old phone for a couple days while the insurance sent me a new one. Now we talked to people in the store and on the phone both saying we had to pay to get the number switched. All of those people failed to mention, even when asked, that you can go to the VZW website and do it for free.

My main problem is the customer service with them, although I still find a lot of things about Verizon unbelievable. And I guess I was wrong about how willing people are to pay that much for a phone.

I have a v3c and the clock is a little screwed up. The verizon guy told me there is an update available shortly to fix it, other that that the phone is fine.
