Question Polyphonic Ringstones: Where to Find Some?

I just upgraded my cellphone to an LG Venus (LG 8800). It comes with just a few crappy ringtones that I don't want to use.

I'm really only looking for some POLYPHONIC ringtones that I can add to my phone. Does anyone have any good websites, and are the free downloads truly free after sent to the phone (or does the site eventually spam you with text messages, etc)?

TIA!

I use to get them through 3gforfree but they changed and it sucks now.

I recently found freeringtones.ie and everything seems legit, I go on there through my phones internet browser, downloaded at least 100 ringtones all for free. I have a Palm Treo 700p.

Invest in a USB cable from ebay for your phone. It's easier to just d/l them and transfer yourself. Plus you won't have to pay kb download rates (assuming you have no data plan). However, I don't know any sites you can get them. If your phone supports mp3 ringtones, you can use a program like Mp3 Cutter and chop an mp3 down to like 600mb (about 30 sec) and the LG should recognize it. I've had LG through AT&T for a few years now and they usually work like this.

I know a bunch of sites to get .midi tones. However none of them do it OTA. Like doom said SS, USB cable would be the best.

Yeah he can use the cable to d/l them instead of d/ling straight to phone whether polyphonic or mp3 tones. I had also suggested mp3 tones because sometimes people can d/l them but think they can only get them through the AT&T store.

I see lots of mp3 ringtones available via my carrier, but not a whole lot of polyphonic ones, or even a practical way of finding them (all) on their site. Why would I bother buying an mp3 ringtone --- couldn't I just make one on the computer via my CDs and music files and then just transfer it to the phone?

Exactly. But a lot of folks don't realize that. I think carriers push mp3 tones since they make more money off of them and more phones support them. As far as making them, see my post above how to do so. Very simple and you don't pay
