Playing Music from your Laptop/PDA to your Head Unit - Wireless

Hi guys,

I was speaking to amir the other day, he mentioned there are some of you out there that have a device that broadcasts signals from your laptop or PDA to a specific FM channel in your cars. Meaning that you can use your laptop or PDA to play Mp3's in your car with out the need to use any wires

Is this true? If any of you have more information on this, would appreciate it if you share it with me.

Thanks

Well.. its specifically for playing audio files. Your FM Signal picks it up within your car.

You plug in the laptop into this device thats like a wireless router, then that sends the signal to your head unit via a FM signal that you would pick up when you tune in.

I use this occasionally, when I am in other people's vehicles that don't have wired aux inputs.

Sound Feeder

You just plug it into the headphone jack of your device and tune the radio to the right station.

It works alright, though it can be a pain to get the signal just right.

interesting...

ahh.. I see.. interesting, but I get the impression its not good quality.. I like it to be as good as Mp3 quality.

Anyone else know of any other solutions other than wiring Aux. inputs?

I have a PDA and Laptop I like to utilize for playing media.

I use the same unit in my car sometimes on trips. Works good.

What do you mean by MP3 quality sound?!?!?

You can make a MP3's at various bit rates which will effect their sound quality. Anything from crappy to CD quality

96 (crappy) , 112, 128, 160, 192, 256,320 (CD quality)

Only other solution is a casette adapter with a headphone jack if you don't like the FM transmitter idea.
