plan for Blackberry Curve?

I just bought a used Blackberry Curve. The plan I have currently is a unlimited text and data plan with AT&T. I used to have a HTC 8525 (older version of the Tilt basically) that ran Windows Mobile. Do I have to call AT&T to change my plan to use the Blackberry? Sorry, I am really not that much into phones, just want something I can use for business and personal use that is reliable.

You don't HAVE to. But I would. Get switched over to the unlimited blackberry plan you will be good to go. This way you will get to use all the features.

So what extra features does the Blackberry plan give me? Can I still use email, unlimited text, and unlimited data as is? I really have no idea what the Blackberry plan gives me.

Now don't quote me, because I could be wrong,(i'll ask my AT&T rep tomorrow if you would like) but i believe to get the browser up and running and things like BB messenger you need to have a BES. Possibly might even need it to get email going. Text you should be fine. Which in laments terms is an BB data plan.

Maybe someone else who knows alittle bit more can shed some light.
