All good TVs are made in China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, or Taiwan. Where do they make TVs in the US?
Coming down one product line could be Hisense and down the other lines Sonys and Sharps.

I think costco has prices similar to that on the no name brands...and if it ever breaks or you don't like it, they will take it back no questions asked.

$1000 is a lot of money for something that might break sooner than it should be. just pay more $$$ for something reliable.
